That pretty much sums it up, just compare the old beats with the new ones, and you’ll find that modern hip hop is basically light years below itself in devolution. Unless great beats make a return, rap will only get worse and worse with generic synthesizer hooks taking the place of the magesty of Stevie Wonder and James Brown samples.

Although, it’s not the hip hop artists fault at this point, sampling has gotten ridiculously expensive, and someone needs to fix those laws. If someone finally does, we can finally get masterpieces like the Grey Album legally issued out.

Go fuck yourself. You know god damn well what type of genre indie “muzak” is. Pale, uncool, white people making low-fi guitar music about spatulas or some other shit like that, thrown together with gay pirate sea shanties, and thin, nazaly vocals.

You know god damn well that people like The Decembrists, The Pixies, your “Oh so precious” Arcade Fire, Death Cab For Cutie, and Panic! At the Disco made their entire god damn career off of that shit.

Go play in traffic, people like you ruin music almost as much as people like Zeromage.

Is the band on a mainstream label? No. They are on an independent label.

Ergo they are indie.

I also hate Emo music, I feel like killing myself whenever I listen to it, not because it evokes some kind of emotional negativity from me, but because the music is so horrible only thee sweet embrace of death can spare me from it lol.
