Oh good God what a good list. Except they made a mistake of putting GTA San Andreas, the best in the PS2 series (and best-selling PS2 game, period) rather than Halo. And they also forgot to put Halo in first place when doing so.

A sci-fi shooter? Pretty damn original, I’ll give them that. One whose multiplayer caused bed-wetting sycophants to overlook a simplistic story and standard gameplay because it was the first time their online hymens were broken? Nifty. But best of all is the superb character design. That dude in generic armor isn’t just a dude in generic armor, he’s fawking MASTER CHIEF, dood, he’s like de kewlest cuz he da Mester Chef, yo.

But the character design probably stands out the most to me when I think of the aliens. Nothing’s more satisfying than shooting chickens and lizards that wear body armor. Because if a game sells as much as Halo does, I can only expect that it is because it’s about a faceless character with a generic name shooting chickens in space. One in which I can use one hand to shoot people online and use the other to pleasure myself to how lucky I am to be basking in the game’s artistic genius.

Halo can fuck my bloody excrement.

You guys make the WORST lists on the entire internet. If there was a list for top 10 worst video game reviewing websites ever, you guys would DEFINITELY make number 1.

Only a retarded idiot would think Sonic, GTA and Pokemon were overrated.

Why isnt Halo on this list? Halo is completely overrated, its just another first person shooter… I don’t even understand why its so good. I’m not saying its a shit game (or franchise for that matter), but its made out way better than what it is. Gears of War blows the shit through Halo.

GTA: SA is one of the best games of all time, great storyline, and a great game overall, especially for the PS2 port. I don’t understand how it sucks. “The cities are so big that you can’t even find the local grocery store.” Well your not trying to find grocery stores, so why does it matter? Its like putting The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on here because the maps too large to run around on. And I don’t understand why you say the music is shit, the game is set in 1992, so the music would obviously be old.

And I also don’t understand how PokeMon Red and Blue are on here, it was especially fun to do the “rare candy” cheat, so you could level up all your pokemon before reaching the 5th gym, or catching MissingNo. and watch it screw around with your game. It is now overshadowed by all the new PokeMon games; Ruby, Sapphire, and those new ones. But if it wasn’t for Red and Blue, we most likely wouldn’t have the PokeMon games today.

I happen to agree with Gunstar Heroes, fiddly controls and extremely punishing. I have always thought this was overrated.

The rest of the games on the list are all pretty much classics.

It’s hard to say that Super Mario 64 is overrated since it was pretty much the first of its kind. A lot of overrated games on this list and other like it are actually pretty good games (FFVII, Halo series, Zelda series, etc). These games just tend to get absolutely worshiped by the more fanatical gamers out there.

i agree with most of this list, especially Super Mario 64. As you say, it’s not a bad game, but it’s just so easy, uneventful, and most of all, boring, completely unlike it’s predecessors. Admittedly the game was innovative, in the sense it was the first game to get 3-d platforming right, but it’s not that freakin’ innovative that it should be hailed as the no. 1 game of all time. If anything else, it lacked the charm of all it’s predecessors, and is extremely overrated.
(the same applies to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but to a lesser degree)
