  Oh the 80’s. The decade that gave us the Wonder Years, Who’s the Boss, great video games and a flippant hairstyle as high as a skyriser. What else could the 80’s be known for? What about all the great cartoons that came out in the 80’s? In this list, we will go through what we think are the top 10 cartoons from the 80’s. These are the cartoons that we watched after school, before school, on weekends, and any time we had the privilege to tape the shows on our VCR (mostly after school though). We wanted to revisit these gems to let everyone remember how amazing cartoons were in their yesteryear. We thought about these cartoons in our sleep and talked about them at class during the day. Here then are our the greatest cartoons of the 80’s.

• Top 10 Mega Man X Bosses

  Mega Man X was filled with much more creative bosses than the original Mega Man series for the NES. Its not like we’re knocking the original series, but the name “Boomer Kuwanger” is much more inspired than “Hard Man”. In this list, we’ll go through what we think were the top ten bosses from the Mega Man X series. Most of the choices will be from the first three Mega Man X’s as we feel that the series started to spiral downward after the initial three in the series (like most video games series). Mega Man X 1 has the most placements in this list. We feel the most creative bosses came from this initial game in the series. Here then are our top ten Mega Man X bosses.

  Oh boy, this is ganna be a controversial one. Your favorite game of all time listed on Old-Wizard’s most overrated video games of all time? Surely it can’t be! You know us though, we have a knack for knocking down the typical things people enjoy. In this list, we tried to think of games that just plain piss us off because everyone loves them and we think they’re total ass. Going into our thinking process when considering these overrated games were a lack of creativity and a lack of entertainment that these games possessed for us. We don’t understand why anyone would play them more than twice, but sometimes people do and other people think the game is good for this reason.

There are many, and many had to be cut in our in depth look at the best on the web. Those of you who read our site on a regular basis probably won’t be surprised by our number one pick. Those of you who don’t have as much knowledge of our site may be surprised by our number one choice. Either way, we feel it’s justified based on our in depth analysis of what provides the most for the nerd when traversing the numerous nerd websites on the internet. This is an important list for those of you who have identified yourself throughout your life as a nerd. It’s these websites that have further confirmed your nerdish instincts.

• Top 5 Reasons the Olive Garden is Better Than Any Restaurant in Italy

  In this article we will go through the reasons why The Olive Garden dominates restaurants in Italy. The Old-Wizard crew have been voyagers for the past five years and we have visited places as far off as New Zealand and Amsterdam. Of course, Rome and Milan are on our map of places that we have visited. Something peculiar happened to us when we visited the famous restaurants in the great cities of Italy though. We realized how much better the American Italian Olive Garden experience was over all these restaurants. How could this be? We heard from every Italian under the sun how the food in Italy is so much better than any of the bad excuses for Italian food in America. In this list, we unfortunately have to smash those dreams by seeing how Olive Garden dominated these restaurants.

• Top 5 Reasons Why You Watch Everybody Loves Raymond

  “Everybody Love Raymond” has secured for itself a seemingly never ending rotation on modern TV. This show usually runs around 7 o’ clock on multiple channels at once. There must be a reason for this show’s popularity, right? We at Old-Wizard though find this show to be one of the most noticeable signifiers of western civilization at its lowest point. In this article, we’ll go through why anyone would watch this show with any sense of enjoyment. Hopefully we won’t offend the “Everybody Loves Raymond” bandwagon too much with this article, but as always with Old-Wizard, we aren’t out to coddle that which is shit.

• Top 10 Famous People Who Shouldn’t Be Famous

  Ever wonder why certain people are famous? Looking back at the history of the world, we see fame given to some notable figures like Shakespeare, Newton, and Einstein, which we will soon cover in our top 50 most influential people of all time. These people changed history through their tireless forays into the arts and sciences. Pop culture in the 20th century though has made it easy for any smiling face who wears skimpy clothes and gives us some animal level of entertainment to be famous. In this list, we will cover who we think are the 10 most famous people who shouldn’t be famous. These people have it easy. They get paid for basically doing nothing, and have no talent or anything worth contributing creatively to the world.

• Top 10 Nintendo Games

  The NES represents retro gaming even more than the Atari, mostly because it had more quality games that would be imprinted in the gamer’s imagination for years. These retro games are some of the most enjoyable games every to be released for the platform system. The amount of great for the NES was staggering, but we wanted to make the tough choices and limit it to a top 10. These games we find undeniably great, meaning that even if you wanted to see a different entry on this list, you couldn’t disagree with the games we have on them now. With a list like this, difficult omissions will always be made. The ordering was very difficult for this list. Sit back, pour a glass of wine and enjoy the memories of 8-bit glory.

• Top 10 Worst Types of People

  As the readership of Old-Wizard knows, we have gripes with many different types of people. The most often cited people who we dislike are the Sega-heads who consistently claim that the Sega Genesis was better than the SNES. We have addressed this numerous times throughout many of our articles (top 5 worst video game websites), but we also gave them their due in our “top 5 best Sega games of all time“. What the Old-Wizard reader may not know though is that we have a lot of heat for more than just the Sega-head. We come across people every day that make us ask ourselves “Why do we have to live in this time”? While this may seem like too much of a gloomy disposition on our part, it is not without reason that certain people just tend to piss us off. We’ll go through these “types” in this list. We just hope that you’re not one of them!
